For many years this was the only station used. It is a two story facility that houses the majority of ambulances. It also is the home of our full time mechanic. The upstairs provides a large classroom and quarters for the crews.
The building is actually a larger building built on the site of the original building. It can hold a maximum of 8 ambulances. Station 1 is also the busiest station because it handles Farmington calls. Farmington is the largest city in St. Francois County and has several skilled nursing centers as well as a prison within it's city limits. The station is located to easy access to Hwy 67 which is the major connecting highway in the county. This provides easy access to respond to calls in other station areas.
Station 2
5 Club St., Park Hills, MO 63601
In 1999 two new stations were opened up in St. Francois County. Station 2 is our west county station. It is located in the west end of Park Hills. This provides easy access to many smaller towns in St. Francois County. Station 2 covers the areas of Park Hills, Bismarck, Leadington, Leadwood, and parts of Desloge. St. Joe State Park is one of the largest of Missouri's State Parks and is home to a very large ORV riding area.
Station 2 is also a cover house, because if there are no ambulances available for either station 1 or station 3, then station 2 will respond to those areas. During summer months, station 2 is always a busy station.
Station 3
60 Hazel St., Bonne Terre, MO 63628
Station 3 was also opened in 1999. Summer also increases the activity of station 3, since it covers 3 lake developments. Station 3 covers Bonne Terre, parts of Desloge, Terre Du Lac, Lake Timberline, and Goose Creek. Bonne Terre also has a prison facility located near it.
Station 3 is the north county station and is located with easy access to Highway 67. This is important when you consider how many motor vehicle accidents we respond to in the northern part of the county.
Administration Building
624 Wallace Rd., Farmington, MO 63640
This renovated building is located next to station one. It is where Board Meetings are held and the billing department is located there. This building was aquired to make room at station one for a larger training center. The Administrator and Office Manager also have offices in thisbuilding.
